It's just a rumor right now, but Google may be buying Feedburner.

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this.

Some people are worried about ads being forced into RSS feeds currently housed at Feedburner, which I think is unlikely. Ads we're not forced on Blogger users after the purchase by Google, and Feedburner users would probably not be forced to place ads either, they probably will be encouraged though.

I'm more concerned about Google once again controlling more aspect on how I operate online. Not only will they have information on the feeds that I publish thru Feedburner, but all one I read too. Is this an indication that Google Analytics is being less important as a way to track users around the web, and RSS is becoming more important, or is Google just trying to access the RSS ad market.
